The full move-out clean, priced by property size. Oven, inside cupboards, limescale, the lot.
Carpets
Hot water extraction, not a bonnet mop. Most rooms are dry enough to walk on in a couple of hours.
Regular housework
Weekly or fortnightly, charged per cleaner per hour. Same person kept on your house.
Working in Watford
Watford's core is Victorian and Edwardian terraced: long two-up two-down runs through Callowland and West Watford built for the printing and brewing trades, most now with rear extensions and loft rooms. To the west, Cassiobury and Nascot Wood have larger Edwardian and 1920s villas on wide avenues, while Meriden, Garston and Leggatts are post-war council-built semis and low-rise blocks. Since the 2010s a run of tall new-build apartment schemes has gone up around Watford Junction and the ring road, adding several thousand flats to the town centre.
Watford Borough runs lettered controlled parking zones (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, J, K, L, S, T and V) with resident visitor vouchers capped at 400 hours a year; permit charges were varied in June 2025, so a job in a station-side zone usually needs the customer to issue a voucher in advance.
Hertfordshire chalk means Affinity Water supplies hard water here, and in the older West Watford terraces that shows as scaled shower trays, cloudy glass and heavy limescale on kitchen tiling.
Watford FC home fixtures suspend bays and close roads around Vicarage Road and Occupation Road, which wipes out afternoon access for the whole Holywell grid.
Water here is hard, so limescale on taps, screens and kettles takes longer than people expect.

Regular housework is £22 per cleaner per hour weekly, or £24 fortnightly. A one off deep clean is a team job: from £186 (two cleaners, three hours, plus £30 for kit and materials). Minimum charge on one off work is £67.
